The whole algorithm vs human curation or combo discussion is always of interest to me. For our employee program, called SCNow (obviously powered by our own software) we are starting to blend – and I find that the “human-curated” content (thanks @leediaz24) is what I read more. But also, with 60 employees, we are not overwhelmed with content, so an algorithm will be of less value anyway.
